Springtime in the country...

Colors abound this spring with bursts from the iris and rose. Both of these flowers have been here for many years and are still coming to visit each spring. Enjoy!

What folks do for fun in Colden...

Well, everyone is always asking us what we are doing for fun this summer....feast your eyes on "the project of the moment" LOL

Jim is having a great time watching his diagram turn into a working project. Jake, Josh & Peter are helping with the fun.

I have found that I can lift one 80lb block for nearly 2 feet but I would rather not. :) I have gotten good at hammering in the pins, holding the ruler, reading the survey level and keeping fresh cold lemon water and food ready.

Now we just need some cooperation from mother nature and holding back some of the rain so it doesn't turn into a swimming pool.

Polish Heritage Festival May 30th, Hamburg NY

Peter & Madeleine at the 2009 Polish Heritage Festival. Jan, Jake and myself entered the Cheesecake Contest. Jan made a White Chocolate Raspberry and Jake made a Chocolate Cheesecake. I entered my favorite New York Style Cheesecake.

We all went home with a well satisfied sweet tooth and no trophies. :) It was a fun time to share in the kitchen preparing for the event.
