Flowers and Bulldozers....

A new metal roof for the wood shop!

All the bulbs that we planted came to life this spring and it was a joy to see on the back patio!

Just a little bit of wood for the fall...Jim's idea of relaxing. :)

Daisy the Dozer even got a "nose" job this spring. Another one of Jim's many ideas, he never stops. I think Tim Allen would be proud!

Spring on the Hill...

We love Sunday mornings! Jim and Peter cook up a batch of pancakes, yummy!

Peter can actually tell when they are ready to flip over, waiting for the right kind of bubbles.

Papa Jim had a job for Peter out in his wood shop and it took a lesson in using a protractor.

Many times I offer Peter the camera to take pictures and this one he took of the sunset on our ride to take him back home. Yep, it is snow on the ground...that is just so we don't forget what winter is like. LOL

Looks like a lesson in making old fashioned popcorn. Amanda and Jan can find laughter in every corner...

Bras everywhere! My dear friend Roxanne hosted a morning brunch and bra decorating event to help out the Mother's Day Breast Cancer "Mammary Mile", the link below will tell more information. We had great fun decorating the bras and celebrating friendship!

Polar Bear Swim, Olcott Beach 3/7/2010

A Spring event that the locals have enjoyed for 41 years! My brother Mike and our daughter Amanda decided late one evening that they should participate in the fun. Hmmmm...No, thanks.

2010 Polar Bear Swim for Sight hosted by the Olcott Lions Club. I am guessing there may be courage in his flask? LOL

Now this is a sight to behold. Amanda and Mike walking home from the Burt Hotel after the swim...I am not sure who is holding who up? LOL

Warm up drinks at the famous Burt Hotel. They look happy don't they?

THEY DID IT! The weather was a big plus but the water was still too cold for my blood, a bold chilly 37 degrees.

Courage comes in pairs! I think they are actually holding on tight so one of them wouldn't chicken out...lol.

Sarah & Mike's Wedding!

Sarah was presented with a gold locket from Peter & Mike to celebrate the big day!

Sarah & Mike lighting the unity candle. The funniest thing happened...Mom walked me down the isle as Jim & Papa Pete were to escort Sarah as fathers of the bride. Well, I was so busy trying to be ON TIME that we were actually too early. As we started to light one of the side candles...Sarah's friend, Vicki screamed "not yet!" WHO could have guessed a Ketch was early for anything? So, Mom & I walked back and I told everyone "pretend we were never here" LOL A few minutes later, we had the right song/timing. :)

Mom, Dad & Madeleine. Poor Madeleine got an upset stomach and needed a comfy lap from Papa Pete.

Myself (yes, I do show up now and then in front of the camera), Sarah, Mike and Jim. Notice the suit on Jim....I told him NO carharts! :)

Janice & Madeleine enjoying a dance. :) Lovely, Lovely girls.

The magical winter wonderland. What a GREAT place to celebrate LOVE.

The entire Bridal Party!!

Sarah & Mike did a small cake with complimentary cupcakes! They were awesome. The cake topper was made by yours truly. Sarah with her clinical outfit (nursing student) and Mike with his mug of coffee, work badge and his famous scruffy face.

The card box telling the story of how they met. Plentyoffish.com
I will add a few more pictures when we get the professional ones back. Enjoy. It was a wonderful and loving memory for sure.

Weddings, marriage and examples...

Mike and our daughter Sarah are getting married a week from today (January 10th), it is hard to believe this little girl is going to be a bride! Where does the time go?

Grandpa & Grandma Dale celebrating their 66th Anniversary. When I ordered the cake at Olson's (Williamsville) the baker came out and asked if it was a mistake and wasn't it supposed to be birthday instead of anniversary? :)

Great Grandma Zibut, Grandma & Grandpa Ketch and dad on his wedding day. Handsome fella.

Dad & Mom on their wedding day!

Grandma & Grandpa Dale. Don't you just LOVE his smile. One of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.
Best wishes Sarah, Mike and of course, Peter. Three hearts become one. You make a loving family and always remember to enjoy that gift!!

50th Wedding Anniversary for Mom & Dad

Yes, they survived 50 years of marriage and still going strong. They had a party to celebrate with friends and family. Don't they look great?!

Areatha, my sister-in-law and Ellawyn. Ellawyn's brothers George and Sammy came too, all the way from Georgia. Ellawyn also looks very much like my mom when she was her age. :)

The cute couple out on the dance floor...polka time.

Dad hired a REAL polish band called Phocus.

A few folks up and moving to the chicken dance!

A time to remember...

Ok, this picture was from nearly 5 years ago when Jim and I first started dating. I look a little hmmmm...well, a bottle of wine and about a 90 degree evening. Still I think you can tell we're in love.

This is one of my favorite pictures of all. Again almost 5 years ago and we had just started dating, my honey and my grandson Peter. I melt when I look at this picture.

New Year's Day 2009!

The famous cake topper, note the alaska sweatshirt that is now retired! Happy New Year to all of you and may love and warm memories be around every corner.
